we don't know were the story of Hatchet takes place because Brian is very, very lost. Here's what we do know: Brian's plane comes down somewhere in the North Woods, a vast area that covers much of central Canada.

 Brian Robeson undergoes a difficult transition when his parents file for divorce and he has to survive.
