5 Stars, The book never got slow and always makes you keep reading.
The setting is in the Andes as you can tell from the title, a rugby team is flying to a game with friends and family when the weather starts to get a little rough. The main character and narrator wakes up with a throbbing headache, and somebody tells him the plane has crashed in the middle of nowhere in the mountains.
Main characters;
Nando was born in December 9, 1949 in Montevideo. His parents were Seler and Eugenia Parrado, he has two sisters, Susana and Graciela.
Roberto: born in January 17, 1953 Montevideo as Nando he graduated from Stella Maria college and played with the rugby team Old Christian club.
Rafael: was 22 when the plain crashed, he was an agriculture student and a Montevideo rugby player who had many friends on the Old Christians team.
The book takes a turn for the worst when the plane crashes and some of the people on board don't make it, the have to conserve food and water so they don't starve or get dehydrated. Most of the passengers get very weak and skinny, it gets so bad that they have to face the fact that the only source of food is their dead friends, they all make the decision to to eat the dead some of the people refused to eat their friends.
People who like suspenseful books this is the one for you, theirs constant cliff hangers that put you on the edge of your seat and make you keep reading.
I do not think I would like this book because of its constant cliffhangers which I would likely forget about.
