Tori Anderson
 Period 4

                                Divergent by Veronica Roth

Four Stars ****

Rating: I gave the book a four rating because Im not the person who likes romance but in this series it fits perfectly in this whole story, its like the Hunger games the only differences between this book and hunger games is instead of killing each other the just have to pick a factor and live with it for the rest of your life.

The Main Setting: It takes place in Chicago of the future in a world that has been rebuilt after a society collapsed.

Description of the main charters:
Beatrice "tris" Prior she is a seven-teen year old girl who hates showing weakness.

Tobias "Four" Eaton he is the son of Evelyn Johnson and Marcus Eaton. He is the instructor for the transfer initiates.

Caleb Prior he is a nine-teen year old boy, brother of Beatrice

Main characters:
Beatrice "Tris" Prior
Tobias "Four" Eaton
Caleb Prior
Marcus Eaton
Jeanine Matthews
Christina
Tori Wu
Eric
Peter Hayes
Edward

#1 Event: In the Beginning of the story all the kids turning 16 must take a test called the "Aptitude test" which determines which of the 5 factors the teen will have for life, the following factors she/he might get Dauntless, Abnegation, Amity, Candor, and Erudit

#2 Event: The choosing day is the day where all the kids choose what factor she/he must have for the rest of there life. if  she/he chooses a different factor they must never see or be with there family again.

#3 Event: In order to be a part of the faction they chose, the kids must do several initiation activities. If they fail to finish one of the exercises they will become "factorless", which means homeless.

Conflict: The main conflict in divergent with society and herself, this conflict is two things man vs man and man vs society. The conflict is a internal one.

Recommendation: Divergent is a good book I recommend it to people who get hooked of books fast because this is a really good series.
